Press Release

The theme of the exhibition, first of all, centered on "the shoe", exclusively as an item of dress, found its title in the saying "On your feet!" the idiomatic formula which in English has a wide range of meanings, other than the literal On your feet", "Get up!", "Move!", "Go ahead on your two legs!", "Stay there!""...
The invited artists have enlarged the visual to a vast repertoire, which accompanies the shoe and the foot in general: voyage, procession, leap, fable, object of desire, fetish, game, dance, portait, memory. Some artists have offered works already created, many others have made them "ad hoc" for this event.  From this an extremely intriguing collection was born, where photos, videos, installations, paintings, graphics, and objects live together in an extravagant equilibrium between metaphor and fashion.

Participating in the exhibition:
Eric Andersen, Vasco Ascolini, Fernando Andolcetti, Shuzo Azuchi Gulliver, Federica Barcellona, Douglas Beasley, Connie Bellantonio, Joseph Beuys, Silvia Camporesi, Delfina Camurati, Bruno Cattani, Francesco Chieraschi, Sandra Chiesa, Cesare Cicardini, Cosimo Cimino, Mario Commone, Isabel Consigliere, Giovanna Corradi, Philip Corner, Renato D’Agostin, Giannella Darbo, Federica De Angeli, Roberto De Luca, Giuseppe Desiato, Annabel Elgar, Daniele Ferrarazzo, Limbania Fieschi, Antonio Flamminio, Sylvie Fleury, Giuliano Galletta, Francesca Galliani, Mauro Ghiglione, Gian Luca Groppi, Angelo Gualco, Vittoria Gualco, Gianluigi Gurgigno Hans Hermann, Geoffrey Hendricks, Carla Iacono, Alison Knowles, Mirta Kokalj, Silvia Levenson, Emanuele Magri, Fulvio Magurno, Mauro Manfredi, Malena Mazza, Luca Mengoni, Alzek Misheff, Amandine Nabarra-Piomelli, Anna Oberto, Martino Oberto, Alessandra Pedonesi, Mauro Panichella, Ben Patterson, Giuseppe Pellegrino, Michela Petoletti, Federico Piccari, Lucio Pozzi, Giordano Pozzi, Angelo Pretolani, Elettra Ranno, Roberto Rossini, Antonello Ruggieri, Takako Saito, Paolo Simonazzi, Aldo Spinelli, Daniel Spoerri, Ivano Sossella USW, Berty Skuber, Giulia Vasta, Ben Vautier, Nicola Vinci, Alessandra Vinotto, Luigi Viola, Andy Warhol.
